☀ Summer 2026

The summer your child
stops waiting to be taught.

Real challenges that don't look like math or anything school taught them. Puzzles and case studies that seem impossible at first and force children to invent methods they have never been taught.

India batches are complete. Admissions are open for the global programme.

Delivered by Adithya Lanka. Adithya has been teaching for 25 years. Through college, through Bloomberg, through Microsoft, alongside everything else he was building. He has seen students crack CAT, clear interviews, build careers. None of it has been quite like watching a ten-year-old invent an algorithm no one showed them.

Your child inventing things.

The problems draw from math, logic, science and everyday life, but feel nothing like school. Each child works at their own level, on their own path. There is no class pace to follow.

Real puzzles, not textbook exercises

The problems in Summer Labs are chosen because they are genuinely intriguing. Why does a certain trick always work? What is hiding inside a pattern that looks random? How do you think about something that seems impossible at first? A child might not know where to start. That is exactly the point. No method is given in advance. The child builds what they need as they go.

Each child on their own path

Children in the same slot work on entirely different challenges, chosen for where they are individually. A 9-year-old and an 11-year-old can be in the same room and never be doing the same thing. There is no common pace, no shared destination, no comparison.

A space to struggle well

Summer Labs is not designed to be easy. It is designed to be appropriately hard. One student, one problem, nothing else in the room matters. What follows: frustration, confusion, something close to despair, then a small opening, then hope, then discovery, then joy. Often all of this within the same session. That arc is not a side effect. It is the point.

A treat worth earning

For the India offline format, sessions were held at Harley's in Nanakramguda. Parents were welcome to wait. A good session earned a well-deserved treat. It is the ritual that tells a child their effort was real.

India and global. Same approach, same standard.

Choose days and times that work for your child — no fixed weekly slot. Sessions are drawn from your pack and must be booked at least one day in advance.

Summer Labs is just the beginning.

Summer Labs builds the muscle. The STEMRoot year-round programme is the continuation: the same child, the same path, sustained through the academic year. If the summer goes well, we will talk about what comes next. Learn about the year-round programme →

Things parents ask about Summer Labs.

Is Summer Labs a tuition? Will my child be covering next year's syllabus?

No on both counts. Summer Labs is not a tuition and it is not an acceleration programme. There is no syllabus to follow and no next year's content to preview. Your child will be given problems they have never seen, with no method in hand, and asked to find a way through. That is a fundamentally different experience from tuition, however good the tuition is.

Will my child actually enjoy this? It sounds intense.

Summer Labs is built around puzzles that are genuinely intriguing. Hard in the way a good puzzle is hard. You want to figure it out. A child might spend a session discovering why a certain trick always works, or what is hiding inside a pattern, or how to think about something that seems impossible at first. The setting is relaxed. The group is small. A good session earns a treat. It is real work, but the kind that does not feel like work once you are inside it.

Is Summer Labs suitable if my child has never done anything like this?

Yes. Summer Labs is often the right starting point because it is contained and time-bound. The Discovery Session before enrolment ensures the approach is the right fit before anything begins.

My child is already ahead in school. Will they find this too easy?

Very unlikely. The challenge is calibrated to each child individually. A child who solves things quickly gets harder problems. The ceiling here is not a grade level.

Is the online programme the same as the offline one?

The approach and standard are identical. Online is one-on-one on Microsoft Teams; offline is a small group at Harley's, Nanakramguda. For current pricing, see the formats section above.

How is this different from a summer camp or activity programme?

Summer camps offer activities. Summer Labs offers work: hard problems that require your child to think. The enjoyment comes from figuring something out, not from being entertained. Not every child is ready for it. That is what the Discovery Session helps establish.

What if my child wants to continue after the summer?

The STEMRoot year-round programme picks up where Summer Labs leaves off: the same child, the same path, two sessions a week through the academic year. If there is interest, that conversation happens at the end of the summer. No obligation, no pressure to decide in advance.

Interested in Summer Labs?

Summer Labs is not for every child. It works best when a child is genuinely curious about how things work, and a parent is comfortable with an approach that looks nothing like school. If that sounds right, fill in the form below.
